The Georgia State Railroad Museum and Savannah Children’s Museum will be closed from Monday, July 29th through late August for what the museums are calling “a project in support of museum operations”. As with most projects, these dates are subject to change.
Coastal Heritage Society members will be eligible to receive an additional two months free due to the inconvenience that this closure may cause.
They will be offering children’s programming at Savannah History Museum as well as STEAM education programs at Old Fort Jackson, hosted by educators from Savannah Children’s Museum.
Please follow the Coastal Heritage Society Facebook page for the most up-to-date information.
August doesn’t leave you empty-handed however, there’s still a ton of free, family-friendly events in Savannah and beyond!
