On July 25th at approximately 9:20 p.m., the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 25 Tarbert Cut in the Buckhead East neighborhood for a report of an intoxicated husband throwing things and threatening to harm himself. Dispatch told deputies the suspect was an Army Ranger with multiple weapons in the home.

47 year old Jason Lee McClure was arrested at the scene and booked into the Bryan County Jail on the following charges:
- First Degree Cruelty to Children (Felony)
- Obstruction of Officers (Misdemeanor)
- Criminal Trespass – Damage to Property (Misdemeanor)
The narrative given in the incident report by Toby Cameron, the arresting deputy, is:
“I was dispatched to 25 Tarber [sic] Cut, Richmond Hill, for report of a domestic disturbance.“
