Richmond Hill, GA. – On August 20th at approximately 5:00 p.m., Richmond Hill Police arrested 21 year old Brandon Green of Richmond Hill for Criminal Trespass after he allegedly entered a home in the 100 block of Ryan Dr in the Sterling Creek neighborhood while the homeowner and her son were in the backyard.

The homeowner reported returning back into the home to find a man, later identified as Brandon Green, standing inside seemingly panicked and agitated who stated someone had just shot at him. When she dialed 911, Green fled the home.

There were reports from the community about witnessing a foot chase in the area around the same time. We are unable to confirm if that is related to this incident or not.

Richmond Hill 411 has requested the initial incident report, as required by law, from the Richmond Hill Police Department Records Custodian, Kendria Lee, and we were informed via a document that “the information requested is part of an ACTIVE investigation and cannot be disclosed at this time.” We are addressing this issue separately.

Brandon Green has a lengthy criminal record in Bryan County. His felony charges since 2015 include making terroristic threats, burglary, and sale of a controlled substance – all separate cases. There are 14 total cases in Bryan County naming Green as the defendant, according to Bryan County Court Docket Search.

The suspect is being held in Bryan County Jail and an additional felony probation violation charge has been added. He is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

After moving to Richmond Hill, GA in the fall of 2018, Matt wanted to become immediately involved in the community.
