Around noon on July 25th, an ambulance operated by Bryan County Emergency Services was travelling northbound on Belfast Keller when it struck the rear of a newer-model Mercedes sedan who had slowed for construction at the new I-95 interchange.
The female driver and sole occupant of the Mercedes complained of back injuries at the scene, but refused transport to the hospital, opting instead to drive herself. No word on the extent of her injuries at this time. The ambulance driver was not injured.
Reports from Bryan County have been delayed and are vague in nature, so more details are not known at this time. We have reached out to Georgia State Police, however due to the statewide ransomware attack it will take longer than expected.
We will provide an update as more information is received.
